The pool has private changing areas, but hot water may not work. The kitchen is spacious, though lacking good knives. The staff at reception was helpful. The common areas and garden are comfortable. The building is beautiful with high ceilings and dark rooms.

I had an amazing stay at this huge hostel with a pool, bar, and kitchen. The spacious rooms were a pleasant surprise, especially in the 10-bed dorm I stayed in. The staff, especially Nicolas at the front desk, were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and funny. They even went above and beyond by making me a ginger tea when I was sick. I also appreciated the option of a late check-out, which made my departure hassle-free. The hostel's events and large kitchen were great for meeting other travelers. If there's one suggestion I have, it would be to add a few hammocks in the garden for ultimate relaxation.
The breakfast selection could be improved with a wider variety of options.

As youngsters, we loved the amazing garden and royal architecture of this hostel. The staff were incredibly helpful and provided lots of useful information. The rooms and kitchen were spacious, and there were plenty of areas to chill out. The bar was cheap and the airport drop off service was reliable. The breakfast was affordable and tasty.
Felt like in a fairy, nothing too much trouble.

The staff were friendly and helpful, providing good advice and assistance. The atmosphere in the hostel was enjoyable and had a unique character.- The breakfasts were tasty and offered good value.- The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities.
The noise levels in the hostel were quite high, making it difficult to sleep or relax. The old floors were creaky and echoed throughout the halls, adding to the noise problem.

I recently stayed at La Casa Roja for a week and it was a fantastic experience. The hostel is spacious and perfect for meeting new people. The room I had was a nice size and the colonial-style house had a charming vibe. The kitchen, managed by Maria, was incredibly clean and well organized, and the breakfast she made was terrific. The helpful receptionist assisted with everything from laundry to recommendations. The hostel also had a pool table and a welcoming bar. a great place with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

We had an amazing romantic escape at this hostel! The pool was absolutely fantastic, perfect for relaxing and cooling off on those hot summer days. The atmosphere was great too, with a friendly and relaxed vibe that made it easy to meet other travelers. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen was a huge bonus, allowing us to cook our own meals and save some money. Plus, the location was ideal, close to all the main attractions and with easy access to public transportation.
There were a few downsides to our stay. The bathrooms were a bit limited, with not enough toilets and showers for the number of guests.

I had a great time during my stay at La Casa Roja. The staff were incredibly friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast, although it took a while to prepare, was worth the wait as it was freshly made by Paola. The location was convenient and the building itself was beautiful with a rich history. Having a free pool table, even with its imperfections, was a nice addition. The staff spoke excellent English and were always helpful. The discounted pizza restaurant next door was a pleasant bonus after arriving late. it was a fantastic experience.
Would recommend this hotel.
